BiographyClaire is a district nurse by background, a Fellow of the Queen’s Nursing Institute and Professor of Health Care Research at the Centre for Research in Primary and Community Care (CRIPACC), University of Hertfordshire. She is a deputy director of the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research in Care (CLAHRC) East of England. Her research focuses on the oldest old, including those affected by dementia. She is interested in how primary health care works with social care and long term care providers to achieve integrated care. She leads a programme of studies on supporting people to live with dementia at home and interventions that support care home residents’ access to health care and the care of people living and dying with dementia. She is a founder member of the NIHR supported Enabling Research in Care Homes (ENRICH) She has published widely and is the co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Primary Care and Community Nursing.
