BiographyKay-Tee Khaw is Professor of Clinical Gerontology at the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine.  She trained in Medicine at Girton College, Cambridge and St Mary's Hospital, London and in epidemiology at the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, with subsequent clinical and academic posts in the University of London and University of California, San Diego.   Her research interests are the maintenance of health in later life and the causes and prevention of chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, cancer and osteoporosis with a particular focus on nutrition and hormones with over 400 research publications. She is a principal investigator of the European Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition in Norfolk cohort, part of a ten-country, half-million participant European collaboration investigating dietary, hormonal and other determinants of cancer and other chronic diseases.
