BiographyProfessor Derrick Crook is clinically trained and is specialised in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology. In his current role he is both clinically active, caring for patients directly, as well as being the medical lead for hospital infection in the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust.  Through his position as a consultant in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Professor Crook has developed research interests in a number of areas. These include the evolution and adaptation of pathogenic bacteria; epidemiology, surveillance and clinical trials for hospital acquired infection and studies of behavioural changes for reducing healthcare associated infection.
